Yamada® 3" Air-Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) pumps are engineered to deliver exceptional performance, reliability, and efficiency in demanding industrial applications.
The NDP-80 Series provides flow rates up to 215 gallons per minute (GPM) and is available in aluminum, 316 stainless steel, cast iron, and polypropylene to meet diverse chemical compatibility requirements.
For higher-capacity applications, the new NDP-800 Stainless Steel Series offers enhanced performance with flow rates up to 305 gallons per minute (GPM). Constructed from durable 316 stainless steel, the NDP-800 is designed for aggressive fluids, heavy-duty process environments, and operations requiring maximum throughput and reliability.
What separates Yamada from the competition is our proven air valve technology. Every NDP Yamada AODD pump utilizes a completely non-lubricated main air valve and independent pilot mechanisms to control air flow, resulting in dependable operations, reduce maintenance requirements, and exceptional longevity.
As compressed air enters the pump, the main air valve directs air to one side of the pump based on the position of the c-spool. Air pressure forces the diaphragm outward, displacing fluid through the discharge check valve while simultaneously loading the opposite inlet check valve.
Because the diaphragms are mechanically connected, the movement of one diaphragm outward pulls the opposing diaphragm inward, creating a continuous pumping action.
At the end of each stroke, the diaphragm activates the pilot valve, opening an exhaust port and releasing air from the backside of the main air valve. This pressure differential shifts the main air valve, directing compressed air to the opposite chamber and initiating the next pumping cycle.
This simple yet highly effective design delivers smooth, reliable operation with minimal wear components, making Yamada pumps a trusted solution for fluid transfer applications worldwide.
